Political reflection coming soon.

I’ve been meaning to reflect on President Bush’s farewell speech last week but haven’t found the time. I promise it won’t be this radical blog post on how unfair the media is against Bush, even though it’s true. But rather a reflection on some of the accomplishments I feel that are overlooked by the liberal media. Look for it in the coming days….

By the way, I’m in DC for the inauguration. (Not by choice.) The city is busier. I notice some out of state plates but I feel like a lot of the people who attended the “Obama Concert” today were locals who were smart enough to metro it into the city. I’m sure Tuesday will be insane. Everyone who has been on tv keeps saying they are in DC to witness history. History happens every day! Watch it from home! Whatever! If they want to stand outside in freezing weather, I will gladly stay at home with the heat on and watch it from my tv. Gladly.

Consquences of having a public blog

Rant: You get assholes who like to leave mean comments and then hide under the “anonymous” alias.  *Delete* I don’t pre-screen comments or “wait for them to be approved” before they are published because I don’t expect people to post mean stuff!

I mean really, if you can’t put your name in the box, it means you couldn’t say it to my face. Just grow a pair and put your name in the box! Or wait! Here is a novel idea, don’t even read my blog! I don’t write it for you. I write it for myself and some enjoy reading the crazy stuff that goes on in my head!

End rant.

Top 20

I’ve updated my current playlist. Below is my top 20 at the moment. The bottom 10 are similar because I haven’t played them out yet. I think I have excellent taste in music. Some would throw BSB in my face but again, I THINK I have excellent taste.

Enjoy. :)

-7

It’s 11 degrees outside but with the wind chill, it feels like -7. NEGATIVE SEVEN DEGREES! This is ridiculous! There isn’t even any snow on the ground. If it’s going to be this cold, I demand there be snow so something fun comes out of going outside!

Btw, I’ve lost 3 lbs this week.

Oh baby it’s cold outside!

No run for me tonight! At least not outside! When I left my apartment this moring, with the wind chill it was 11 degrees. Right now it’s 26 but with the wind it’s 16! 16 DEGREES! One way ticket to California warmth please! The wind is just hellacious outside. Yeah I know, it’s not -12 in Chicago and there isn’t any snow on the ground, but this is too cold to be outside.

Hateful wish: A massive snow storm blows in on Monday and ruins inauguration festivities for the 4 million people expected to be in DC on Tuesday. he he he.

Do they get any dumber?

Chicago Security Guard Charged in Alleged ‘Lovesick’ Attack on Co-Worker

A Chicago assault suspect tried to go from villain to hero to impress a female co-worker, but wound up in jail after the damsel in distress realized her attacker and “rescuer” were one and the same.

Donquila Butler, 29, a hospital security guard, was ignored each of the numerous times he waved to another hospital employee who worked in the records department. By Sunday, he was fed up, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.

Donning a ski mask and hood, Butler went to the victim’s work area, grabbed her by the throat and said, “Shut the f—- up before I kill you right here,” police told the Sun-Times. When other hospital employees saw the incident, he reportedly ran off only to return minutes later without the mask and hood to “rescue” the woman.

Butler’s alleged plot was thwarted after the victim recognized him, the Sun-Times reported. He was arrested Tuesday and charged with felony unlawful restraint.

Little stiff

My legs are a little stiff. Definitely going to stretch well tonight before I run home. I calculated my mile to about 12.5 mins. My goal is to run a 10 mile again by the end of this. In middle school, I was running a little over a 7 minute mile! That was back when I was smaller and more aerodynamic in size. :)

Ethanis also informed me that 996 calories a day is not enough. He referred me to this site that gave better numbers. (Damn iPhone.) I should be eating anywhere between 1100-1400 calories a day. WHEW. I got a headache last night after I ate dinner and I think it was from not eating enough that day. I also weighed myself but I’m not going to share the results until the end of the week. It’s more climatic that way.

Today’s agenda: work on a few things for CPAC.

Quick update

I jogged home in exactly 45 mins tonight. Almost 4 miles in 45 mins. My legs feel like jello and I want to faint. I’m no Flojo but I’m proud of my time.

Day two: Frustrated!

Frustrated

So my 3.6 mile walk home took an hour and five minutes. I only burned 330 calories, according to my iphone. Also according to my iphone, I can only consumer 996 calories per day if I want to reach my goal on time. Yesterday I ate approx. 857 calories. So far so good. Today I’m going to run the 3.6. It’ll be a nice run through the Capitol, National Mall, past the White House, and right on to Virginia Ave. Tonight, I’ll do my first weigh in.

Complaint: I hate how guys can burn calories so much faster than girls. End complaint.

On to other news, I’m watching the horse and pony show Senate confirmation hearing of Hilary to the State Dept. Yadda yadda. Get on with the rest of the news.

Happy Monday….err

Ah Mondays. Today is Day 1 of my new lifestyle and it did not start so smooth.

I wake up and start to get ready. I walk into the bathroom to turn on my hair straightener and it breaks. My $100 hair straightener that is the crutch of my sexiness BREAKS! Not a good start.

I proceed to making it a “hat” day. I have a yogurt and proceed on to work.

I get to work and the building engineer informs us that our door is broke. It actually looks like the door has either been kicked in or broken in to. We’ll never really know because nothing appears to be missing but whatever, he’s fixing it.

That’s been my day so far. I am eating a bowl of rather bland oatmeal. I really had high hopes for my vanilla, almond, and honey oatmeal by quaker but it really needs some butter or brown sugar! Fat. I know.
