Restaurant week in DC!

It’s restaurant week in DC! Every year DC restaurants are able to participate in a fixed lunch and dinner menu at the flat rate. This usually proves to be an excellent deal for consumers because it’s a three course meal for a fraction of the price. Lunch this year is $20.09 and dinner is $35.09. Again, it’s a three course meal.

So last night, being the fat asses that we are, Luis and I decide to take advantage of this amazing opportunity at Ruth Chris. I’m excited because we have the possibility of going to a fancy steak house for under a $100!

Well I was wrong. It ended up being $108 with tax and drinks. Still isn’t a bad deal. They had the “restaurant week” menu that I ate off of, a 6 oz filet with mashed potatoes but they also had the “Ruth Chris Classic” menu, which was slightly more and offered a few more options. Luis did the stuffed chicken breasts off that menu with some crispy fries. He also had two classes of vino.

All in all, it was a good deal really and I’m excited to try Filomena in Georgetown for lunch on Saturday.

First – I LOVE Restaurant Week!
Second – the stuffed chicken at Ruth’s Chris is soso good. I just get teased everytime I order chicken at a steakhouse. Oh well.
